THE APPRENTICE WHO STUTTERED BY JOHN NEWBURY

ABOUT THE BOOK
The young John Newbury had been loving boats since he was a small kid.

When he had the chance to sail a proper one and start his career at sea, he was over the moon. When he was a kid, because of a speech impediment, he was unsure about his own abilities and about what he could achieve in life. But he found what he suited him perfectly, giving him joy, fun and satisfaction: life at sea. Starting as an apprentice on little ships, he progressed and became captain of complicated ones, with important responsibilities, travelling throughout the world and living exciting experiences throughout the world.

Inspired by his son to write an account about his adventures and tell the world the story of his life, Captain Newbury has put together this colourful, interesting and, above all, true diary of a life at sea.
